WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

DEEP IN THE HEART...OF CHICAGO
Texas A&M University Alums Align in Multi-Platform Marketing Venture

Chicago, Ill. (September 7, 2007) - Sherman Wright and Aggie basketball standout, Charles "Chuck" Henderson, began an enduring friendship soon after arriving in College Station, Texas. However, after graduation, divergent career paths caused the duo to begin the next chapters of their lives in separate cities at some of the largest and most successful companies in America such as Coca-Cola, Disney, MTV and Dell.

Despite relocating to different cities, Sherman and Chuck stayed in contact and kept close tabs on each others' accomplishments as they ascended their respective corporate structures. Finally, after fifteen years, their bond allowed them to reunite in Chicago within the walls of commonground Marketing (CG) and its sister agency, commonground Sports & Entertainment (CGSE).

It All Begins at a Commonground
Sherman is the co-founder and managing partner of CG, a cross-consumer agency that delivers strategies, unique programs and communications that connect with consumers and drive business results. Sherman, along with partner Ahmad Islam, started CG in 2004 and has guided the self-funded venture from earnings of approximately $500,000 to a projected $8.5 million in 2007.

In four years, CG has quickly grown into one of Chicago's premiere full-service agencies and has developed award winning marketing programs for clients such as Miller Brewing Company, Barton Brands, Nike, Mercedes Benz, Sprite and Quaker. Sherman has played a large role in the agencies successes as he is a strategic visionary and drives client marketing strategies, new business development and agency growth.

Success Breeds Opportunity
In a move to diversify CG's offerings and actualize an opportunity in the areas of sports and entertainment, CGSE was founded in 2007. To ensure CGSE's success, Sherman lured Chuck away from MTV to serve as the Vice President of Business Development and Player Marketing. Chuck specializes in fostering relationships between clients and corporate partners. His expertise in defining the client's potential and a corporation's needs provide the foundation for CGSE's clients to build upon and maintain a polished image, and maximize endorsement opportunities. His diverse background in technology and sports has proven invaluable as the sports/media/entertainment landscape rapidly changes with the varying forms of media consumption through various technological platforms.

CGSE, which specializes in marketing and local, national and global public relations, has compiled a client roster that includes 100M World Record holder Asafa Powell, hip-hop star Twista, R&B singer Syleena Johnson, actor Darrin Henson, Chicago Bear Lance Briggs and Chicago Bull Ben Gordon.

About Chuck Henderson
Before joining CGSE, Chuck served as Director of the MTV Networks Affiliates where he was responsible for managing the Comcast cable and other international cable relationships. He negotiated distribution agreements for the MTV and BET family of networks. Prior to MTV, Chuck served as the Director of business development for TZG Consulting, which included the formulation and implementation of all sales and marketing plans. He also led the development of health care industry specific software and computer sales for Dell Computer Corporation.

Chuck is a Houston native and attended Robert E. Lee High School (class of 1989). Chuck enrolled at Texas A&M University and graduated with a degree in Agricultural Economics (1994), and was a member of the Aggie basketball program from 1989-1994. During his career, Chuck was a three year starter and three time recipient of the Mr. Hustle Award. He also served as a co-captain, earned GTE academic honors and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Chuck still ranks in the top three for three point field goal percentage in conference play. The Texas A&M Lettermen's Association members strive to ensure that the tradition...the prestige...the legacy of Texas A&M Athletics passes from generation to generation. As an Aggie Letterwinner, we encourage you to be an active Lettermen's Association member.
